Dick is a musician and D.J. who toured nationally with a 60’s group called The Brymers.

The group is mainly known for their 60’s hits of “Sacrifice” and “I Want To Tell You.” The Brymers still perform and attempt to release an album per year. To date, the group has released five albums

5) The Love From Our Soul.

During the last four years many of The Brymers tracks have appeared in movies (i.e. JOBS, Chillerama, Alex of Venice, and TV shows). In 1968 Dick recorded a psychedelic album with a group called Fapardokly (Merrell Fankhauser). One of the tracks was picked up by Warner Brothers and placed on a compilation album a few years years ago (Where the Action Is – 1965 1968 – Los Angeles). The comp album was nominated for a Grammy the year of its release. In addition to recording with The Brymers, Dick continues to record with other rock groups and hosts his weekly radio show called “Dick Lee and 60’s Garage Rock from California.”

DJ Reggie Smith

DJ Reggie Smith

Position: DJ

Name: Reginald Lee Smith
Born: October 14th 1969

Aliases:
Rapp’N Rex, Disco Bee, Boss, Smif Don, Mr. Smif, Lastbboy.

Reggie started as a young fan of Hip Hop and Rap after hearing Run DMC for the first time. He got stared in music in 1983 where he worked for free at W.E.B.B 1360AM in Baltimore Maryland as a stock boy for on air DJs doing small jobs at the age of 14years old.

He later became a young mix consultant at promotional events and learned the basic engineering skills from Charm City legends like Chuck Nazz, Frank Ski, Mack James and DJ Hoogie Rock.

As time went on, Reggie also got the opportunity to work with other Baltimore Radio Legends like DJ Reggie Reg, (RIP) and DK K-Swift (RIP). Later in his life, Reggie worked with Power 99.9 (NC) as a track editor and mix engineer for three different personalities. In 1987 Reffie Smith was signed to Sony Records as an up and coming Hip Hop artist. No songs were ever released due to contract issues but Reggie has retained all legal rights to his pre-recorded music.

Reggie served 25year in the Army as a communications specialist and retired in 2013 as an Army First Sergeant. During his army tenure, Reffie was able to further hone his Deejay skills by creating and selling mix tapes and playing different clubs in each place he was stationed.

He played clubs in Maryland, Pennsylvannia, Virgina, North Carolina, Hawaii, Missouri, Kansas, Tennessee and Georgia. Reggie has even sold mix tapes and played for clubs in South Korea, Germany, Budapest, Turkey, Paris and Bangkok.

Even though Reggie loves all brands of music, his favourite is Hip Hop, Rap, R&B.

Reggie was given his nickname ‘The Boss’ by a close friend and then group body guard, James ‘BIG JAY’ Wright (NYC) (RIP). He used to say that Reggie always took charge of every musical situation like it was his own project. So he teased him by calling him The Boss.

The Last BBoy is pretty much his old school style of music, in both mixing and rapping, long before B.Boys were spinning on their heads, but the time when they stodd in the clubs and on stage with their arms folded.

Reggies style of mixing music is truly original and if you love music, the Last BBoy, Reggie Smith ‘The Boss’ will never let you down.

He also took a job as a tea-boy come tape-operator in a small recording studio in London where the likes of Elvis Costello, Dave Edmunds, Nick Lowe and other soon to be famous performers were regular customers. This inspired Paul to start his own recording studio, opening the door to being a full time sound engineer & record producer.

Mike Kroll

Mike Kroll

Position: DJ

(Right side in picture) Mike grew up in East Pointe, Michigan outside of Detroit. He has fond memories of playing drums throughout his school years and his love of music comes from his father, as he recalls his Dad playing records and dancing with his mother in their living room.

Mike’s interest in radio began when he was a teenager. He would attend live radio remotes in the Detroit area and dreamed about becoming a Rock and Roll DJ.

About 20 years ago Mike’s dream came true when he began radio broadcasting as a guest DJ on several live radio shows in Detroit and had the opportunity to be a part of David Washington’s Twenty Grand Revue on WPON. It was on David’s show where Keith’s and Mike’s paths crossed. Keith was a regular call in correspondent from the UK.

From there Keith and Mike developed a friendship and co-founded the UK USA Soul Connection, now the UK USA Rock n Soul Connection a syndicated international radio show that airs on the internet and FM stations all over the world.

In addition, Mike continues as a guest DJ on the Elvis and Buddy Holly tribute shows on live radio in Detroit with his good friend and long time DJ Jimmy James.

Keith Scowcroft

Keith Scowcroft

Position: DJ

(Left side in picture) Keith is a native of Manchester in the northwest of England, the home of the famous Manchester United football team (soccer to our listeners in the States)

He relocated to Poole, Dorset on the south coast of the UK in 1972 and moved on to Shillingstone, North Dorset in 2015.

From a very young age, Keith had a passion for Cars and Pop music, living through the Mersey beat era, attending gigs in the Manchester clubs and theatres.

In 2004 Keith began an association with WPON, a radio station in Detroit, via the internet. In 2007 he was invited to visit the station and was a guest DJ on Jukebox Classics with Bel Air Bill and Howling Harry. He formed close friendships with them and several other DJs in Detroit. Luckily for Keith, his visit coincided with the Indycar Grand Prix of Detroit.

Subsequently, Keith teamed up with Mike Kroll and formed what he considers a great association by co-founding “The UK USA Rock n Soul Connection” playing the sort of music they love to hear. It has been a very successful collaboration and they hope it will continue for some time to come.

The UK USA Rock n Soul Connection show can now be heard on over 40 internet and FM radio stations around the world with thousands of listeners.

Keith also has his own slot on the Flashback 70’s show on The Krushnation that is broadcast on the internet out of Detroit.

Pete Matthewman

Position: DJ

Hi,
My name is Pete Matthewman and I hail from Brookfield a growing country town about 50km west of Melbourne in Victoria, Australia.

I was the Founder/Host of My Country Australia (Radio Show) from 2014 until 2020 which produced more than 300+ episodes.

In 2020 I started the ‘It’s My Country Radio Show’ and after 46 shows I took a 10 month break due to Covid but in July 2022 I started doing the show again which is now more than 55+ shows old.

My love of country music started about 12 years ago, when I was introduced to Rascal Flatts and ever since that day I have been hooked.

When I started MCA it was predominately American country music that I played for first 4-5 months.
I have found that Australia has some of the best country music artists going around and they then took up most of the show. The ‘It’s My Country Radio Show’ now plays an eclectic mix of country music genres from all over the world.

In my private life, I am married with 2 kids and 4 grandkids, I work fulltime for Netafim Australia and am involved with sporting clubs in my local area.

I also own my very own online Radio Station called IMC Country Radio which can be found at www.imccountryradio.com

I look forward to bringing you all the latest and greatest country music from around the world.
